(Bloomberg) -- At New Jersey’s Teterboro and Long Island’s Islip airports, dozens of private jets destined for Florida take off at times such as 11:42 p.m. or 11:54 p.m.

Over at JFK, a regular flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico, arrives at a seemingly purposeful time: about 15 minutes after midnight.

Meanwhile, tax attorneys tell stories of clients idling in their luxury SUVs near the New Jersey entrance to the George Washington Bridge shortly before 12 a.m., waiting for the clock to turn before crossing the state line to New York.

When it comes to taxes and the wealthy, every minute matters — especially for those who’ve left New York and declared residency elsewhere. At a time more high earners are departing, or at least are claiming to, state officials are stepping up already intense scrutiny to make sure former residents have actually moved. It’s a complex operation that involves cutting-edge artificial intelligence and tracking everything from travel to the location of people’s pets…

US Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall suffered an awkward moment in Congress as he was stumped over a question about military overspending.

The military leader was questioned by Florida Congressman Mike Waltz over the 'exorbitant' amounts spent on regular inexpensive items, using a bag of bushings as an example.

Despite the small bag of electrical bolts costing average Americans around $100, Waltz said the military forks out $90,000 a bag.

'This is literally driving us out of business,' he said. 'The interest on our debt alone is now exceeding, for the first time in American history, the entire defense budget…

A CRUCIAL Great Taking Update: Bankers Bare Their Fangs and Threaten the State

David Webb gives an update on the progress of individuals and groups working to restore property rights under states’ Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).

by JW Williams

David Webb gives an update on the progress of individuals and groups working to restore property rights under states’ Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). The UCC redefined property ownership in all 50 states in 1994 and removed ownership of property from individuals. He said that local UCC laws must be re-established and the exceptions to private property ownershi[ must be stricken down.

He described his meetings with Tennessee lawmakers and the banking lobby and how the lobby bared its fangs and threatened to stop doing business with the state.

David Webb said that banking lobbyists, Tim Guggenheim and Tim Amos, attempted to refute the Tennessee’s bill proposing to restore private property rights by saying that there has been no change to property rights, which is demonstrably false. Webb said that the bankers also claimed that the change in the UCC code is about being able to provide margin loans and will create a conflict in law so all of the existing agreements will be invalid. Webb said that the banking lobby lied because they could not refute that the current UCC has destroyed private property ownership…
