There are something like one billion “geeks” or “nerds” on the planet today. Comic book movies are among the highest grossing films of all time, franchises like Star Wars and Game of Thrones are ubiquitous worldwide, and games like League of Legends have millions of players. People all around the world live for these fictional worlds & characters, these adventures & battles against evil.
Now, imagine if just 1% of those geeks were to wake up to the reality of “government,” the schemes and crimes of the predator class, and their own power to change the world...
Real Life is an RPG is a book trying to do exactly that!
Real Life is an RPG is the debut publication from author Kenny Palurintano, an Agorist Nomad, Food Medicine Chef, and longtime friend of the Art of Liberty Foundation. You may remember Kenny from our appearance on The Corbett Report, discussing The White Rose, the FreeRossNow project that helped secure Ross Ulbricht’s freedom, and the Collected Writings of Kenny Palurintano, which can be found exclusively on the Art of Liberty web-store.
You may be a geek yourself... If not, you certainly know someone who is.
This is the book for that person.
Written over the course of more than a decade, Real Life encapsulates Kenny’s 4 decades of life lessons, from growing up poor to working in the corporate world, from drug & alcohol addiction to health, happiness, and a life dedicated to liberation, all wrapped up in stories, parables, quotes, and teachings from all across Science Fiction, Fantasy, Comic Books, and Gaming.
Right now, you can get your hands on an exclusive, limited-edition, numbered & personalized hardcover first edition of the book. The “Blurb” from the back of the book:
Every great story starts with someone who didn’t think they were the hero.
You’ve spent years watching, reading, and playing as the heroes of your favorite universes and franchises overcome impossible odds, build their found family of allies & supporters, and rise to meet their destinies and change their worlds.
But what if the story you’ve always been longing to start is your own?
What if the greatest game you'll ever play is the one you're already living?
Welcome to Real Life is an RPG, a fresh, empowering perspective on life that will forever change the way you see yourself, your struggles, your goals, and your potential.
Part adventure, part recovery story, and part field guide for the modern geek, this book is for anyone who’s ever found truth in a fantasy world and wondered how to bring it home to Real Life.
Drawing on decades of personal transformation, from battling depression and addiction to embracing health, freedom, and purpose, Kenny Palurintano weaves together the best of geek culture, spirituality, psychology, and practical wisdom.
From dozens of lessons built into games across the RPG genre to that time Kenny went to an actual school for wizards, from Goku’s indomitable will to succeed to what we can learn about dealing with our inner demons from characters like Elric of Melnibone and Marvel’s Blade, this book is a one-of-a-kind manual for the world we live in.
You’re the Main Character of this story.
It’s time to start your quest.
So, are you ready to level up?
