Ridley Scott Embarrasses Himself with Cartoonish Propaganda, Lame Premise, & Unlikely Scenarios
The new Ridley Scott film, The Dog Stars, starring Josh Brolin and Jacob Elordi, opened in Italy on Wednesday, two days before its theatrical release in the United States. As a long-time prepper-survivalist (and editor of the Survival Retreat Operations Manual), societal collapse and dystopian future are among my favorite genres, so my fiancé and I caught a 30-minute train from Padua to Venice for the only English-language version in the area.
It was a huge disappointment on so many fronts.
1st – The premise – A societal collapse based on a contagious flu (Coronavirus wasn’t mentioned but implied) made it seem like it was teed up for the predictive programming of “The Covid” era but got shelved for some reason until today, OR the organized crime “government” is getting ready for Covid 2.0. Either way, I felt sad for Ridley Scott… Doesn’t he have his “F#@& You Money” yet, where he doesn’t have to produce propaganda and can take projects strictly for their artistic merit? I just lost all respect for him for what seemed like transparent propaganda.
If you were to watch the propaganda about prepper-survivalists like the “reality show” Doomsday Preppers, you would think prepper-survivalists are psychologically paranoid about everything from “pole-shifts” (Earth suddenly flips its magnetic or rotational poles and civilization unravels) to volcanoes erupting in Yellowstone. The truth is that *almost* every prepper I have ever met is only concerned about the collapse of the dollar because the organized-crime “government” and banks have stolen all its value, which we explain in detail in our expose: The Greatest Theft in Human History - How the Banks and “Government” Will Steal At Least $1.40 Million From the Typical American Worker… “Legally.”
I would posit the most likely scenario for a societal collapse would be because

Years ago, I had a girlfriend who was a realtor and decided to test the waters by specializing in survival real estate in Northern Virginia shortly after the 2008 financial crisis. Survival real estate is property, ideally, more than one full tank of gas outside major metro areas where you can get agriculturally self-sufficient in a grid-down economic collapse and protect yourself from the “Golden Horde” of unprepared people streaming out of population centers after a collapse. Every client and potential client, many of whom were quite successful business owners and at least one mid-market CEO, were concerned about the exact same thing: financial collapse.
Not one “contagious flu” or “pole-shift” in the bunch!
Hyperinflation/currency collapse is absolutely, positively the most likely scenario that would cause societal collapse. There has never been a nuclear war, killer virus (Spanish Flu was “vaccines”) or climate crisis... BUT 150+ currencies have been destroyed by hyperinflation.
We put on a public prepping-survival conference and had almost two dozen folks show up. I polled the crowd: “Who is here because of pole shifts? Zero hands. “Who is here because of Nuclear attack?” Zero hands! “Who is here because of financial collapse?” Everyone in the crowd!
Funniest part: I continued, “Who is here because of an EMP?” (Electromagnetic Pulse from a nuclear airburst that could take out the power grid.) About four people raised their hands!
My next question: “Out of curiosity, how many people who raised their hands for the EMP think it will be a false flag EMP to mask the theft of trillions and the fact that it was the government’s fault the currency collapsed?” Everyone who raised their hands for the EMP also thought it would be a false flag attack by our own organized crime “government!”
BUT.. Hollyweird keeps propagandizing the public with easily faked viruses, climate hysteria or the threat of nuclear Armageddon, all of which, conveniently, lead the weak-minded to cower to the “government” for safety and security.
In the Prepper-Survivalist community, the most popular book that naturally gains traction and serves as a positive force for good is Patriots by James Wesley Rawles, the godfather of the genre and publisher of SurvivalBlog.com.
I like to describe Patriots as a “how-to-manual” on surviving an economic collapse cleverly woven into a compelling fictionalized story by an ex-military intelligence officer. It has everything Hollywood should want: a realistic scenario, 500,000+ book sales across the series, a series with potential sequels, the most popular book in a growing genre, and an author with a HUGE organic following, etc. BUT… It actually fingers the corrupt monetary policy of the organized crime “government” and banks, so don’t expect Hollywood to popularize something that might actually help the population understand the reality of their situation and prepare!
What Else is Wrong with The Dog Stars besides the Stupid Premise?
Plenty… Mostly completely unlikely scenarios and unrealistic situations that completely overwhelmed my “Suspension of Disbelief.” Suspension of Disbelief is a reader or viewer’s intentional choice to set aside logic, critical thinking, and real-life rules when experiencing a story so they can enjoy the fiction.
I get it, most people haven’t really thought about what life would really be like in a societal collapse, so these might be nitpicking, but the movie was one improbable, illogical and unrealistic situation after another from the “woke” Chinese Mennonite (played by superb British actor Benedict Wong who should have said NO to the role) to the “Reapers” an MS-13 gang who, evidently, trekked 35 miles from Denver to Erie, Colorado without backpacks, water, or weapons to stumble upon the remote airfield that Hig and Bangley have made their survival retreat. Here are just a few other examples:
Gas Doesn’t Last 9 Years - Even if it had been Fuel Stabilized
The whole premise of the movie is that Hig is flying his airplane around on 9-year-old gasoline that he scavenges from an abandoned gas station in Denver, in a real-life economic collapse, every drop of fuel would have been bought, scavenged or stolen in under a week, and on the off chance anything was left, it would have deteriorated to unusability in six months to 1 year tops! If it was fuel-stabilized with commercial stabilizers like Seafoam or StaBil, it might last 1-2+ years max, but finding that would be astronomically unlikely.
Coca-Cola Products, Coffee and Medical Supplies... But No Bullets
Here you can see Hig’s Golf Cart loaded up like he just left a Costco. In a real grid-down collapse, expect every single building in a major metropolitan city like Denver to be picked clean within 1-2 months as even the best-prepared and well-armed get overwhelmed by the immoral and desperate who would burn them out to steal scraps. While he is able to find ample stockpiles of soda, coffee and beer on his occasional flights into town, the full-time town residents can’t even find bullets.
The Smartest, Bravest MS-13 Gangbangers in Denver!
In addition to the unlikelihood of low-IQ MS-13 gangbangers surviving 9 years into an economic collapse and then trekking 35 miles to Erie without packs or water, they attack Bangley, who is obviously armed and methodically picking them off one by one. Most people simply wouldn’t have the courage to rush an obvious “high-speed operator” cutting down their friends.
Magical Grenades and Other Unlikely Weapons
Where does Bangley get an RPG in the United States after a collapse, and what are the odds that a gang-banger would know how to use it?
Half a dozen fragmentation grenades are not going to blow up an entire airport…
Seedy Josh Brolin
Josh Brolin - In politics, there is something called “The Beer Test” - It’s an informal measure of a politician’s likability, relatability, and perceived authenticity—essentially, “Would you want to sit down and have a beer with this person?” Just like other immoral actors including Barack Obama and Donald Trump, Josh Brolin scores off-the-chart. Unfortunately for Brolin, who often uses his charisma to make the organized-crime CIA look cool on-screen, he was recently caught attending the “Dialog Society” meetings organized by CIA contractor Peter Thiel. Dialog includes many of the main suspects behind BOTH: #1. Stealing the value out of your money AND #2. Distracting and deceiving you so you don’t understand what is really going on. It was reported that his Dialog application included the weird flex that he “smoked crack under a car at 3 am in San Francisco.” Now we find him “setting the stage” to cover up the actual cause of a currency collapse with a potentially scripted “predictive programming” plandemic movie. What are the odds?
