The Scam of Elections - Why (and How!) You Should Help Your Kids Steal Their Student Council Election
You'd be surprised how easy it is! Almost as easy as stealing U.S. elections with mail-in ballots, fractional-reserve dollars created out of thin air, monopoly media and unauditable, touch-screen voting machines!
Years ago, one of my kids wanted to run for student council… When he announced it, I laughed and told him two stories:
- The Ridiculousness of “Student Government” - Ed Crane, the founder of the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank, used to tell the story of running for student government while attending the University of California - Berkley on a platform of eliminating “student government.” One of his arguments was that it was ridiculous on its face. While student-athletes and student-musicians are really athletes and musicians, “student government” is a completely pretend position. It has no real authority or mandate beyond deciding how to spend a token budget on pizza parties and events. The decisions of “student government,” whether at the elementary, high school or college level, can be immediately revoked at any time. It is all pretend and simply instituted by the government’s mandatory schools and rip-off universities to indoctrinate the kids into an easily rigged system that is actually against their own interests.

E-I-E-I-O! If Republican agriculture policy was a crop, farmers would plow it under. Why? Because it’s worthless.
Worse than worthless, GOP policy: 1) bilks taxpayers to pay billions of dollars a year to bail out the biggest corporate farms; 2) it forces productive family farmers out of business by intentionally eliminating their markets; and 3) it rips-off consumers by letting food conglomerates gouge us with monopolistic price hikes.
Consider Trump’s ideological tariff nonsense. It has needlessly shut off multibillion-dollar markets that America’s farmers count on, while simultaneously jacking up the price they must pay for essentials like fertilizer and diesel fuel. The Republican tariff war has crushed farm income, leading the GOP’s once proud “free market” lawmakers racing to rebrand themselves as Big Business Socialists. So far this year, they have handed out $55 billion in crop welfare payments, with trainloads of that going to the biggest agribusiness operators.

Attorney General Todd Blanche has long maintained that the so-called Epstein files, even those kept from the public, contain no secret information related to national security.
When the document releases began last winter, Blanche noted that the Epstein Files Transparency Act authorized withholding information in the interest of national security or foreign policy, but said, "no files are being withheld or redacted on that basis."
"There's not some tranche of super-secret documents about Jeffrey Epstein that we're withholding, we're actually not withholding anything based upon [national defense information]," said Blanche, who was deputy attorney general at the time.
But the contents of at least three documents in the massive tranche of files indicate classified information was included in files collected by the DOJ.

Despite struggling with homelessness, crime, illegal dumping and a persistent budget deficit, Oakland could soon hand its city councilmembers pay and benefits increases worth as much as $108,000 annually under a ballot measure supported by Mayor Barbara Lee, according to the NY Post.
Measure EE would eliminate existing limits on council raises and allow the city's Public Ethics Commission to determine compensation based on salaries in other California jurisdictions, without a specified cap.
